PERTH AND KINROSS COUNCIL
(A989 ATHOLL STREET, PERTH (BETWEEN KINNOULL STREET AND NORTH METHVEN STREET)) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, PARKING AND LOADING) ORDER 2018
On 13/9/18 the Council made the above Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to temporarily prohibit driving, parking and/or loading for all vehicular traffic on both sides of (i) the A989 Atholl Street from its junction with Kinnoull Street to its junction with North Methven Street a distance of 117.63 metres or thereby. The alternative route is via:- Kinnoull Street - Scott Street - Canal Street - Charterhouse Lane - King Street - South Methven Street - North Methven Street - A989 Atholl Street and/or North Methven Street - South Methven Street - South Street - Scott Street - Kinnoull Street - A989 Atholl Street; (ii) North William Street from its junction with the A989 Atholl Street to its junction with Union Lane a distance of 53.33 metres or thereby. There is no alternative route; and (iii) Stormont Street from its junction with the A989 Atholl Street to its junction with the access to Number 5 Stormont Street a distance of 26.09 metres or thereby. The alternative route is via:- Barossa Place - Rose Terrace - A989 Atholl Street. The one way provisions contained in the Perth and Kinross Council (Perth Traffic Management) Consolidation Order 2015 relating to North William Street between the A989 Atholl Street and Union Lane will be temporarily suspended for the duration of this Order. This applies from 23/9/18 for an estimated period of 1 week to permit carriageway resurfacing works. Should these works overrun the maximum duration of this Order is 18 months. Pedestrian and emergency vehicular access to premises will be maintained and vehicles connected with the works will be exempt from the restrictions.
